"Construction is still exactly as with all our other extensions and enclosures and we look after the entire process for the client" he says.

Homeplus Improvements meets new standards of energy efficiency

A new milestone for Homeplus Improvements: with every job we do, the customer will now receive an independent report verifying compliance with the new South Australian Housing Code's requirements for energy efficiency. Some of the things included are:

• R2.5 wall insulation, plus cladding and gyprock to achieve R2.8
• R3.5 roof insulation , with air space and gyprock to achieve R3.8 (with a light-coloured roof)
• Windows with comfort glass or 6mm sun energy glass

What does this mean? It means that our customers will be getting better-insulated extensions than ever before, which means greater long-term savings on heating and cooling bills, and a decreased carbon footprint across the lifetime of the building. Adding on isn't just easy - it's sensible!

Home improvements in real time

Thanks to everyone who visited us and said hello at the Building and Home Improvement Show 2010. The show was a huge success, and we could see the interest as members of the public got up close and personal with Homeplus products such as the Queensland Enclosure we built on-site as well as our popular Winterlite screens.
